Moxy Chicago - River North

TGRWA provided structural engineering services for the new hotel in the trendy River North neighborhood. The 62,000 sq. ft., 8-story, building includes 6 floors of 156 guestrooms and it is the 3rd U.S. location since Marriott launched the Moxy brand. The 2-story steel framed podium structure supports a 6-story cold formed steel framing bearing wall structure above. The hotel features a bar and associated social spaces, amenity spaces, and a light well at the guestroom floors. To connect with the local bar and restaurant scene, folding glass doors open up the interior with the exterior.
