Hyatt Place - Wicker Park

TGRWA provided structural engineering services for the $16Mnew hotel in the Wicker Park neighborhood. The 98,000 sq. ft., 8-story, 99 guestroom building includes a full basement and a 3-story, 36 car parking garage. The post-tensioned cast-in-place concrete structure incorporated numerous transfer girders to transition the column layout from the guestroom floors down thru the three parking floors, while accommodating the four separate curved ramp structures. The hotel features amenity spaces, café, meeting rooms, and a large rooftop terrace that boasts a spectacular view of the Chicago skyline.
