Fermilab PIP-II Cryogenic Plant Building
Batavia, ILTGRWA provided structural engineering services for the new scientific support building at the US DOE‘s Fermilab (Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory) facility. The 30,000 sq. ft., 1-story cryogenic plant building is the 1st phase of the Proton Improvement Plan-II (PIP-II) and houses support services and cryogenic cooling equipment for the PIP-II Linac particle accelerator. The steel framed structure includes a mezzanine and supports for two overhead bridge cranes. The building features foundations and support for equipment and tanks.
