Clarendale Six Corners in Portage Park

TGRWA provided structural engineering services for the $117M new senior living facility at the Six Corners shopping district in the Portage Park neighborhood. The 362,000 sq. ft., 10-story, 265 unit building is triangular-shaped and includes retail and parking at the lower two floors. The post-tensioned cast-in-place concrete structure included a storm water detention vault. Existing foundations were modified to support portions of the new façade, and the basement was backfilled to accommodate new shallow foundations. The building features a central courtyard with several rooftop terraces and green roofs.
