Alta Grand Central

TGRWA provided structural engineering services for a pair of new apartment buildings in the South Loop neighborhood overlooking the south branch of the Chicago River. The total 368,000 sq. ft., 15-story buildings include a 1-story basement parking garage and a 2-story link connecting the apartment buildings. The post-tensioned cast-in-place concrete structure is exposed at the exterior façade and integrated with the glass curtain wall. The buildings feature a large roof terrace with pool and spa, several private terraces, and various indoor amenity spaces.
